This Chair Is So Expensive It's Illegal To Own In The United States

You would think furniture would be the least of the government's worries.

But sometimes crime takes a host of weird forms.

This chair cost its owners nearly $500,000, as authorities caught it FILLED with smuggled money.

The chair was headed to the Dominican Republic when U.S. Customs and Border Protection searched it along with other furniture in a crate shipment.

It is illegal to ship more than $10,000 worth of material or cash without letting Customs know, and seeing as the chair is full of unreported, smuggled money, that made it illegal to ship and even own.

The chair was confiscated along with the money until further notice.
